How to Be More Physically Active as a Family
- Make physical activity a part of your family's routine. Take a family walk after dinner or do household chores or yard work together.
- Use local public parks, community centers, or other facilities as a family.
- Walk or ride bikes to school or to do errands instead of riding in a car.
- If you need to be indoors, dance, jump rope, or play active games like hide-and-go-seek.
- Be active during TV commercial breaks—do jumping jacks, march in place, or play a game where no one can be seated during commercials.

Fact
