Assess Your Social Network
Think about your social network. Where does your support come from?
- Is it adequate / does it meet your needs? If not, what is missing?
- Do people in your life support your weight loss or maintenance efforts? If not, can you identify people who will?
- How can you be a positive influence in your social group?
- Suggest going for a walk, hike or another physical activity instead of watching TV.
- Make healthy snacks/meals for your friends, and encourage them to do the same.
- Support your family, friends and co-workers in their weight-loss or maintenance attempts.
